I wonder how can this news affect the price of Bitcoin.  In my opinion, it has no to  little effect to Bitcoin price since it uses their own blockchain for their platform, it would give a huge impact if they announce that they will be using Bitcoin as their sole mode of payment thus generating more demands for Bitcoin.


Since litecoin is trading with BTC, I agree that this gives a huge boost to Bitcoin demand since LTC is surging in price, and Bitcoin will also have their halving next year, thus creating a mind set that , if LTC increase by more than 300% before it's halving, Bitcoin will surely increase in price due to its reward halving.


This news had been around for sometime now, I think its influence had waned already.


Same with FB Libra blockchain, I believe this is good for BNB coins but not  much with Bitcoin because  there are already other services that caters US citizen in order to buy BTC.  It just repeat what others service except that it enable alternative cryptocurrency  to be bought by the US citizen.
