Yeah it went through after around 7 hours total. It just took longer for it to kick from Unconfirmed to 1 confirmation etc.
I guess I shouldn't have been too worried as the transaction showed up in my coinbase as pending immediately.
Yeah if it's there then the only fear would be if someone had your keys and didn't s double spend attack with a huge fee to knock it out. Although you'd probably have bigger issues at that point.
