You can't really avoid it. Even if you're a person with a high IQ it's just impossible to plan for every possible way that you can get hit. Experience helps a lot, but in order to gain that experience you have to be a victim.
I don't agree against it, there is no idea to be a victim first to avoid from the scammer. We have a high IQ and we will know the project is scam it is simple, isn't it? Also with the other people's experiences are enough to telling me the scam project and the legit project. I never fall to a scammer lap just because I learn everything, learn how project it is, the character project and learn from other people experience how they got scam, these things are easy to pass.
