Another trick to view image if the one who posted it is a newbie is to use tools like EZviewer, an add-on for Chrome. Not sure about the security so do your own research. With that plug-in you can directly preview a link inside your tab, so you don't have to right click and open it, but basically, it works the same. Might not be perfect to prevent getting phished if you're not careful with the link that you previewed.
