Well maybe later we will think about it. Only thing we can't store is content... It can't be decentralized, as it will be terabytes of video and photo and every peer will have to download and store it. Only streaming can be decentralized.
And what about these decentralized file storage platforms? Don't they have to cope with terabytes as well or what is the difference?
They will not allow you to store that much I think. It works same as torrent, peers should store file and allow others to download it, but if they want - they remove it but if you want to help network here you will have to store everything.. At first it will be not that much, but in 1 or 2 years we can have like 10 terabytes of video and photo, who will be able to store it then? Only hosting.. And why we have to hide this content from regular hosting?
Also it can harder to download content from decentralized file storage.. So webpage will lag once you open any video.
