To be honest with you I've got the same problem, but it worked for everyone else so I thought I did something wrong. It's still alpha version, and may contain some bugs. I guess we have to wait until NeuroMode contacts youtube tipper's dev. 
I got a few to work. But i didnt do anything special with them. the rest were duds. it seems it works on some ppls videos and not on others. maybe its the options they have selected for their video/youtube account
