A lot of newbie accounts are also scamm accounts, but not for that do we prohibit them from posting anywhere. (this was discussed last week or so on this board).

Self-moderated threads (if done right), helps reduce spam by a lot (Lending section for example), or works nice if you are on a big project, want to receive some feedback but then clean the comments to make a nice looking post/thread.

As everything on the forum, there will be some individuals who try to benefit from it, but many shouldn't pay the price for a few's mistake
