Honestly, Bitcoin looks fairly unstoppable at this point (until the whales dump it into oblivion).
haha, you can dream on about a "dump to oblivion" for bitcoin as much as you like but you will only see it happen to altcoins

bitcoin is not about price, bitcoin is all about freedom that it gives to its users because it is censorship resistant which is what the "bitcoin can not be silenced" statement you quoted means. the thing is, even if bitcoin were banned everywhere it wouldn't die. it still continue to exist strongly. but if bitcoin were banned everywhere altcoins would die instantly.
