Who else agrees that self moderation of ANN threads shouldn't be possible?

A lot of them are scams, and of course they'll delete your post when you call them out. Example: XTRABYTES

Very much agree! Xtrabytes is closing in on 1000 deletions in just over a month! Deleting spam is one thing, but they are deleting genuine concerns, criticisms, and questions, as well as suppressing information, while also shaping the dialogue to make it look like they’re only deleting spam from trolls.

This should NOT be allowed. If Bitcointalk gave two shits about its users and stopping these scams, they would do something. But they don’t, so they won’t.

So what? People can still post in the Scam Accusations boards.
OPs should always have the right to clean up their thread, even if there are scam accusations against that service. Sure, it can be used to censor people, but you yourself have the right not to participate when an ANN thread is self-moderated.

Ugh, Bitcointalk has a hands-off approach to scams and I personally like it that way.
Who would determine what's a scam and what isn't? Do you know how much time and effort it would take to equally review every service that's offered on the forum.

It's really easy to avoid getting scammed, you know. Use escrow and don't give away your time for valueless tokens (referring to all these scam bounties).

I personally prefer having the freedom to participate with whatever I want, it's not the forum's job to decide what's good for me and what's not. (unless we're talking about something that could make the forum liable)
