Came into this thread to read about the reasons for the decline of XMR, but here are the last two pages are so much flooding that I absolutely did not understand the reasons why so Monero collapsed in a time when everyone was waiting for him lift. Can anyone make any suggestions about this?

An insane amount of margin longs have been (or are in the process of) liquidated on Poloniex (check the wicks on the 1m chart). I'd wager there has been more than 100k XMR liquidated on Poloniex in the last 24 hours. As I said in another comment, this may be a necessarily evil to eventually end the bearmarket in XMR/BTC.

Alts are basically getting slaughtered by the Bitcoin stampede. In Monero, the slaughter is amplified by an insane amount of margin long liquidations (check the Poloniex charts). Perhaps this is a necessary evil required to eventually end the bearmarket in XMR/BTC.

Additionally, fundamentals have improved significantly over the last 1-2 years, but that has basically been ignored due to the prolonged bearmarket. I am certain they will shine eventually though.
