Yes and this is one of the achievements that crypto enthusiasts are working day in and day out just to see this become a realization. It would take much time but i know someday we can all spend our cryptocurrencies like we use our fiat currencies.
right now long term holders are keeping their btc as much as possible. many of us are looking at btc as investment rather than money for day to day expenses. we cash out when we need to but as much as possible we don't want to spend the btc that we have. this mindset might be owed to the fact that increase in price is overwhelming. but when it comes to the point that its value stabilised and price volatility is not that much, we might see the spending of btc will grow tremendously.
