I have just realized we do not have a One Pager. We have a Manifesto, a Business Plan, a Pitch Deck presentation, A White Paper and an informative Web Site; but no One Pager. I feel a bit stupid about it.
So it was now the time to write one. This was very difficult task, since, even though the whole point of this project is simplify the movie industry, it is a hard task to explain how this could work and how will affect for good the creative and spectators parties, yet more difficult to explain the role of Blockchain technology in it. I locked myself in a room with nothing but a bunch of coffee, my laptop and all my paper notes and printed material; that room is a mess right no, and I am not planning to clean it anytime soon.
Why is important the One Pager other than the obvious? We have reached the next stage of our zero-budget marketing plan, we are to start contacting filmmakers, both, independent and, in a long-shot-attempt, celebrities; hence, the targeted market for this document is the filmmaker, who in all probability, knows little to nothing about blockchain and cryptocurrencies, being possible that actually, will consider at first glance everything related to cryptos to be a scam. It is important then, to have an easy to read document that explain not only the benefits of the project, but that helps to remove all uncertainty in regards the fact is also a crypto project.
SCREENING SALE
This type of offering happens between three to six months after the Premiere, the exact time is defined by the Creative Team upon registration, the platform will automatically place the film on the "Billboard" once the specified time has elapsed, becoming available for sale again. Ether (ETH) and bitcoin (BTC) are accepted during this sale (other cryptocurrencies to be determined).
What makes this mode special is the pricing of the film, it works in a very different way than what is commonly used in visual entertainment. Filmgrid accepts any film-time format: short, medium or feature-length; which makes it difficult to standardize prices because it would not be ideal for a 15 minute film to cost the same as a 90 minute one.
That's why it was decided to determine the price based on the duration of the film, keeping a flat rate per minute. Once the purchase/sale of the film has taken place, the platform will automatically make the corresponding transactions, depositing the remaining profit to the Creative Teams wallet.
There are only three transfers to the contract address. Are you not optimistic about this project?
Very optimistic, always. Filmgrid is not just an ICO or blockchain project, and even though a successful token sale would help it to start in better terms, it won't define it. This is a collision of ideals, dreams and business... we will see it through no mater what and no mater what it takes.
Those three transactions are the first contributions we received, which means we already have an obligation to someone that believes in the project and is our responsibility not letting any contributor down.
