Chrome must be open. By the way, if you need to close it, it is better to disable the application first. Otherwise, the next time you start the application, it crashes and needs to be restarted. I have this happened several times.
I did close chrome countless times and it didn't even happen once. Maybe there is something about your configuration. Or maybe i closed "Verify during CPU idle time only" which was open default.
This crash doesn't always happen when you close Chrome.
