Lightning Network and privacy coins are the most promising fields in crypto, because they have solid foundation, they already work quite well and just need some improvements. On the opposite, fields like IOT are mostly just vaporware that no one really needs. Dapps don't have any real users, aside from some decentralized gambling games. IFO and IEO are just new ways to scam altcoin suckers.
