With the addition of Libra, and a very smart plan for user adoption Facebook can rise to a position of such great power, that it will be in control of the whole world.
Wow does this mean Facebook will have its own army or a head of state and function just like a sovereign country, that's too far out, Facebook is internet based government can control the internet and don't allow to broadcast in their own country, don't be too delusional that Facebook will dominate the world.
Not trying to be hurtful or anything, but I think it is impossible to say what the world will look like in 50 years time. Saying that a company won't be able to do something is almost like saying that aliens don't exist
