Staking coins needs an initial investment. Some teams "withdraw" that initial investment and either completely abandon the project, either slow down by a great deal.
I've done staking. Some coins gave nice returns especially in the early days. But sooner or later their value dropped without any chance for come back.

I've lost money, time and energy with all the staking coins.
The only coins that gave some returns were the one with good old PoW.

It doesn't matter if staking gives you some dollars if the overall price of your coins (used for staking) is dropping...
