Unfortunately, the switch to Proof of Stake for Ethereum network has been delayed so many times. There are some potential factors that affects Ethereum performance on market: itself (PoS delay), outside factors (like Bitcoin dumps, and drama relates to Tether USD)
before they launched it  , ethereum developers want to make sure on it.they have to double check if system already run smoothly.so there is no mistake anymore when already changed to POS>
It is much better to look for the future of the coin before you bring it in market. A coin gets famous only because of its features and potential so yes bitcoin is good coin and after that ETH is the coin i trust the most. So yes as time passing market is getting green for it and more investors are investing in ETH.
