It's an invesment for the long-term I believe. If the kid turns out to be the next Cristiano Ronaldo in 5 or 10 years, then it was great invesment. If not then, as a Real Madrid fan, I'll laugh really hard LOL 

But don't underestimate Simeone, the guy managed to get the better of some players who were considered average, and then he went and reached two CL finals with those same players. Considering that some of the recent signings are a major upgrade from those "average" players, I think Atletico could be considered a major contender to win La Liga or the CL.
