If only you understand how addicted some people can really be to sport, betting and gambling, you will realize that some people do not mind postponing their wedding till the game is over lol.

Honestly, all sport lovers have their own addiction and weakness but such cases of skipping wedding usually occur in the States, Mexico, Brazil and UK cause of their passion for sport/bets.
