you trust us in buying a VIP membership which will temporarily set you back .01 BTC, and we will then send you .02 BTC, again a net to you of .01 BTC.
Unfortunately, most Bitcoiner have principle "Don't trust, verify" or "Trust, but verify" so you can't expect people to trust you easily.
Even OpenBazaar which uses P2P model (not website which is SPOF/Single point of failure) & open-source still uses Escrow.
Does that seem like some long thought out scheme? If we were asking for 1, 10 or 100 BTC, I could understand the skepticism and super-paranoia, but goddammit it's .01 BTC LOL! 
Ask people who live on 3rd world country, many of them would be skeptical or paranoid.

1. Fake goods
2. Goods broken during shipment
3. Goods lost during shipment
