What was the point of the swap in the first place?

BEP-2 tokens do not support smart contracts, which means the new EQL token is a non-interactive token focused on simple transactions. The simplicity of BinanceChain is arguably its strength, because the less complexity, the less opportunity for something to go wrong.

To overcome that lack of interactivity projects usually enable users to swap BEP-2 tokens to a more interactive parallel coin or token. EQUAL does not.

Why would a project move to BinanceChain if it has fewer features? It makes sense when trading activity is so high the blockchain becomes a bottleneck. That was not the case for EQUAL.

The question stands. What is the purpose of the EQL BEP-2 token?
