even for the top 5 exchanges there is no guarantee of profit. Have you ever heard of the IEO project in Bittrex which made many investors still suffer losses? it should provide an experience for everyone if investment in the IEO is not a solution to profit.
It is wrong if people would think that IEO is the silver bullet that could solve all the problems associated with ICO, i.e. dumping, very low volume, inactivity of the project, faking of sold tokens, and so on. IEO is not a charity in which everyone who invests will surely get a return. It is not like that.
