It is "multiplayer" as in we are all against the house but not multiplayer in the sense that we are playing against each other.

So, some people may think that playing together against house considered multiplayer and I definitely think so. World of warcraft is a mmorpg and yes you can play against each other as well there but mostly you are playing together for a raid or something which means all of you get together and kill some boss, that is pve as well but as a group. Hence this is the same logic, crash is definitely multiplayer and definitely has a great collectivity about it.

I feel like you are bunch of people who all hope it goes up together, all of you want the same thing from it, just go as high as possible (unless you get out early of course). That is why it is definitely considered multiplayer for sure.
