No i would hold it for as long as possible, only to be used for something that can produce even more money (investment), and even then, only a part of it.
I know for many here 10k doesn't sound like much, but in my country it takes a full time worker more than 2000 (5+ years) days to earn that much, if food and expenses were magically free (they are not).
