There's a statistic for the most boards where most merit is sent, then I guess you have to keep posting in that board if you are also interested with the topic.
I think this is the wrong advice to be giving.
We shouldn't be encouraging users to post in sections where they have nothing useful to contribute solely because those sections receive more merit. Boards such as Technical Discussion and Technical Support have a much higher merit to post ratio than Bitcoin or Altcoin Discussion, for example, but that's because they are less spammy. If a spammer posts in these boards, they definitely won't get merited just because there is more merit flowing in that board. More likely, their posts will be reported and deleted because there is less spam tolerated in these boards.
If we think some sections are going under merited, then the better solution is to appoint more sources who frequent these sections, rather than encourage the spammers to move elsewhere. Having said all that, on reviewing OP's post history, he is unlikely to earn any merits regardless of where he posts until he improves his posting behavior.
I'm not saying they have to force themselves, being in the forum doesn't mean you only need to focus in one section, the longer you stay here the more you will find good boards that you might be interested in participating. There's nothing wrong to choose the a certain boars where merit is most spent as long as you participate in the discussion.
Though I don't have a problem ranking up but with the new system, I can feel the struggle of low ranks just to rank up.
It's just my personal suggestion coming from the mind of a businessman.
