Have you considered the possibility that "old members" have experience, and have seen the terrible spam from account farmers? This is why theymos created and later enhanced the Merit system.Yes, the airdropped Merit isn't fair, but it is the way it is. Several people (including me) have suggested to (slowly) reduce the airdropped amount, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen.
No, you don't need to be a native English speaker. I've seen a few members with quite bad English, but the content of their posts makes sense and they've earned a lot of Merit.
That being said, you don't look like the type of spammer the Merit system was supposed to stop, so I've merited one of your posts. If you use the system as a motivation to improve yourself, you too can help to improve this forum.
