The thing with Ethereum is that it needs to go back up without ICOs being the main price driver. Currently it's trying to gain ground as dapp platform as it was intended to be initially until ICOs took over and dominated everything.
I managed to grab some Ethereum sub $100 and have no problem holding them for a couple of years if needed. I still think that Ethereum is the number two coin based on use and demand, and that by far.
The transition to POS (first via hybrid POW) should significantly change the accumulation/distribution dynamic, just like it did with DASH. It'll create strong incentives to buy and hold and disincentives to sell. It's also still the most robust decentralized blockchain to launch tokens on top of. It definitely has staying power. And altcoin season will come eventually, it's just hard to say when.....and a lot of people will lose a lot of money waiting for it.
