Do you think that companies that do large volume on corporate accounts pay the same rates as some random guy typing into UPS.com? As a reference, if I order some parts from Digikey, as long as I order before ~7pm I'll get them the next afternoon delivered FedEx from the US to Canada. They charge $8 for shipping if the under is under $200. If I were to ship the same size/weight of package, it would cost me ~$80. My low volume account gets a 30% discount down to ~$60, but that's still way higher than what they are getting charged.
