So the box circled on the right is left empty until the transaction and it should just take one sat/byte.

Otherwise, Electrum doesn't know the size of your transaction so it can't calculate the final fee ( 1 say/byte X ?? bytes = ??).
Only putting 1 sat/byte in the left box while leaving every other field empty isn't going to do anything.
Your images don't show up because you are still a Newbie.
