Right, he has to step out of his comfort zone and start to obey whoever the team leader he will have in his potential team. He has that kind of mentality that has been brought by his past experiences but he has to adjust, he's no longer on his comfort.
I'm not saying he's desperate to become a leader but he needs to downgrade if he still wanted to be adopted by teams and then showcase himself and prove them wrong when he's got in.
He has a disappointing performance in his last 2 teams, he should have learn on that, and use the break he has to think over and analyze his mistakes.
Though he is not getting any younger anymore, at 35 years old, he still has a lot to offer, but to lead a team? he should give that to the younger once and just contribute more on helping the team based on his experience.
He have the experience and other characteristic of being a leader but to offer himself that way, I think that's just too much imo. If the team sees him and asks him to be a leader then he just have to go but if he's the one offering himself, it's desperation. I agree that he can contribute more about his experience and on how to play and teach the young ones but leadership is something that he should just let others do. I'm thinking that he's not willing to be under on anyone's leadership these days.
