I agree, it is sometimes necessary to create new thread with similar topic of old thread
as long as the new thread has something new (of old topic) to discuss, I think it would be ok
and replying to an old thread even with new information may still be deleted
for necrobump reason
You do run the risk of interpretation of the moderator who handles that report. For me, if new information has been given, and there's an interesting discussion to be had I personally don't mind necrobumps. However, most of the time its better to create a new thread. Not many users get reported for necrobumping with useful information to the thread. as long as the new thread has something new (of old topic) to discuss, I think it would be ok
