Isn't Libra more of a ecosystem while XRP is for settlement?
XRP will be outclassed anyway as it can't survive on settlement alone.
I think I would have to agree with you on this, I haven't been a fan of xrp right from it is onset and I will never be a fan as long as I know that the project is not decentralized but centralized, I think libra has more chance of survival because of the backing it has, we all know that Facebook is a big company and mark has a huge influence in the world at large, unlike ripple that struggle so much in other to gain traction in the crypto sphere. Libra coin is no treat to bitcoin in anyway because they are going to coexist.
as both Libra and XRP are centralized they'll be able to reach massive TPS far beyond reach of decentralized cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum.
With the evolution of lightning-network kind of third party integration, I guess centralized cryptos cannot enjoy and cannot attract adopters/investors anymore.
