the only other thing could be to change your GAP size
tho I  doubt it will do much

you could also try lowering your work size
go back to your normal intensity and drop work size  to 64k and see if it still HW errors and if hash rate improves any

the Nfactor uses more memory so you need to stop things clashing with full memory

I never had HW errors with my R9 290's but they all run low work sizes , I just thought i fried them until I saw nitro's memo about Nfactor kicking in
on bright size a lot of rigs gone offline
