AFAIK it has no real value, it is like a fake money for fun purpose when you are out of funds or exceeding the btc faucet claim. I tried to search info about FRD by googling but I found FARAD coin only, so I can say that Federal Reserve Dollar is not a currency but maybe it can be something valuable in the future.
Today I gets many error 404 while accessing the site, seems that the dev is still working to fix something or maximize the site for better experience. If it is true, then I think it is better to set the site in maintenance mode first so players wont experience error while playing.
