For anyone who was not already sure about the new rule that led to the Manchester City late strike getting ruled out:

Any goal scored or created with the use of the hand or arm will be disallowed this season even if it is accidental.

This lead to another bit of drama which is synonymous with VAR and which I'm guessing we would see a lot of hmthis season.
It will be more fair, but the drama that usually happens in football will disappear. we will no longer see the phenomenon of God's hand goals like Maradona did and others drama in the Premier League. Yeah this is a pro and a cons, but all of that is for the game will be more fair. I quite agree this was applied in the Premier League anyway, and City match yesterday proved it.

It's not the event people are worried about. Almost everyone would agree that hand goals and arm goals should not be considered but the issue here is judgement.
Human mostly and occasionally even the computers (VAR) has given a false judgement that goes on making a team winner and another loser.
Football is a fast paced game. The more you devise the rule and the more is stoppage time, the more annoying it's to watch.
