I have successfully done swing trading for years. It is tedious, grinding and accumulating those small profits. It is less risky but smaller profits.  And eventually you will burn out.

Holding is a legitimate strategy, if you know how. You will have more free time to yourself. Never invest more than you could afford to lose. You will need to realized it is 3000% profit or lose all strategy, that's why you make it less risky by minimizing the capital you have to put in or practice diversity.
