Wow damn! I thought this puzzle would never get solved, it only took 7 months though. 

I had my fair share of guesses, theories and whatnot. My main lead was the genesis block and the Times article, but it turned out to be a dead end.

Anyway, I would appreciate (like everybody else) to know the answer/solution.
