Beside being expert in the field about which they are going to make video, what are other qualifications needed to become a youtuber. Moreover, what do you think can make you stand out from others?
Create original content that others would want to see (and doesn't offend YT's rules). Basically that. There is everything from stupidity and memes to actual university conferences, and a LOT of entertainment within.
Guess the only thing i could tell you is watch youtubers to try becoming one. Especially if you can bring out something others don't have.
Also learn to video edit and choose a frequency, some people do few vids a month, some go daily. Oh and some do live streaming, there is even a chat with donation system in place.
