One weird thing is that the runs on the Linux machine took longer than the ones on Windows (usually is the other way around). And  the other weird thing is that the program is called 'roo' in Windows and 'ROO.exe' in Linux Smiley
It is actually ROO.exe in Windows but Windows adds the .exe for you and is not case sensitive.
..OpenSSL library is pretty slow.

Thanks for the suggestion!  I should have thought of that first.  It is silly to use OpenSSL for secp256k1 when there is a highly optimized specialized implementation available.  Results available soon.
