I do agree that there are a lot of coins better than Bitcoin in terms of transaction speed. However, Bitcoin remains the dominant and face of crypto for many years. And altcoins will be just like that, alternative coins to Bitcoin. Yes, now cryptocurrency specially Bitcoin is being recognized as one of the best asset so obviously people are trading to make money out of it. And I don't think that the perception will change overtime. And that is the main reason why Bitcoin adoption is also slow and merchants are not willing to take the risk to accept it as medium of payment. Certainly, there will be new ones to replace the old and traditional coins, but I doubt that Bitcoin can be replaced soon.
