I've been to one lecture on blockchain adoption and one discussion of cryptocurrencies. I was also planning to attend another lecture, but I accidentally missed it. It's nice to meet people who know what cryptos are and believe that they can be good for society one way or another. Such events can be very different, but I hope you'll like the one you're going to attend. Unfortunately, some of them are basically just making money, they have high entrance fees and unpopular projects being presented. Unless you're planning to sign a contract between your company and some crypto token company, I wouldn't go there. But meetups and lectures and be nice.
