Australian software programmer and Bitcoin’s (BTC) Lightning Network coder Rusty Russell warned users that
“security issues have been found in various Lightning projects which could cause loss of funds.”

Quote
On Aug. 30, Russell published a tweet urging LN nodes operators to update their software as soon as possible. According to the message, his warning concerns all versions of c-lightning prior to 0.7.1, lnd older than 0.7, and eclair up to version 0.3.

It's very surprising news, who would expect Lightning Network protocol and client which are on development phase have security issue which could cause loss of funds Shocked

In the even more surprising news ,
how many idiots claim LN will solve Bitcoin scaling problems, when they can't even solve their losing funds problem.  Cheesy

How many years and nonsense has been wasted on secondary networks propaganda
when an 8 MB blocksize would have solved the issue until 2025 or 2030.   Tongue

The year will be 2049 and LN is still in beta development.  Wink

FYI:
Segwit was activated on litecoin on May 10, 2017, and on bitcoin on 23 August, 2017.
Over 2 years for segwit and LN still can't get out of beta mode. (Lame)
