It must be depressing to be a conservative.  In the long run, you always lose the culture wars:

• allowing women to vote
• allowing education for girls
• allowing racial desegregation
• separation of church and state
• gay marriage
• stopping Catholic priests from kiddy fiddling
• not being allowed to use racial epithets at work
• and now losing the fight on climate change

It must be exhausting to be constantly on the wrong side of history
