I say YES for quality ALTs with working teams and good vision. I think Cardano, Stellar are a couple of good ones!

YES if you are looking for a long term hold like 3-5 years from now. Its really hard to catch the very bottom of a certain coin but if you are looking for long term you can apply the DCA rule or dollar cost averaging which is very effective in any type of investments.
