Even now there is good acceptance for bitcoin in Africa, and what he has initiated through his own coin could make more popular people get into cryptocurrency network.
If Akon really appreciate bitcoin why not use his platform and promote bitcoin, instead of planning to come up with his own shit coin 
. The best thing he can do is to start a company and come up with a user friendly interface that could help the people in Africa rather than coming up with his coin, hopefully someone would give him a great advice on how to make things better with bitcoin and not to create another worthless coin for god's sake.
