No doubt big players always keep control on the market pulse and always play their cards carefully to make panic the people with roller coaster movement with sudden pump and dump but DOGE is little different with huge community support. I also hope in future it will show nice performance.
What do you mean by difference of Dogecoin with other altcoins? Dogecoin price is always fluctuating like other cryptocurrencies. It's the nature of cryptocurrencies. Even Bitcoin and Ethereum cannot resist the effect of whales and panic sellers. I don't think the community trust Dogecoin more than Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, etc.
Big whales know the correlation among the big altcoins, the reason why Dogecoin doesn't react to the price fluctuations of the top altcoins is the unimportant role of the project in the crypto markets. The alt season is the exception, in this case, the total marketcap provides a price swing points for each altcoin included Dogecoin. Panic sellers have an indivisible fear: Get out of the market while the loss is not doubled due to the crashing market. I doubt that the price of Dogecoin has a big effect over any altcoin, if you don't agree, change my mind. The meme coins have never as successful as the Dogecoin but I don't think the single coin was used for other transactions except for the cheap withdrawal choices.
