Winning a ring like that with zero to no contribution, thanks but no thanks. Playing in the finals for only one minute, rest just cheerleading on the sideline.
I'd rather have no NBA chips but 3 Olympic golds, NCAA title + MVP of the final four, 10x all-star appearances and a scoring title.
Why are we even putting Lin and Melo's names in the same sentence, that's fucking disgraceful.
Yes that is way far for a comparison.
Lin had his time and so is Melo which have been really made a lot of contribution for a lot of years. Name it, Denver and Knicks and even in Houston.
While on the other hand, Lin just did it because of the hype. Not too many Asian could make something happen. He made some Asian believe it is possible to dominate the NBA which is also good.
Now, look at how the Olympics end. So many changes already happened.
Oh and another addition, there is a league now which is being played by Asians where NBA players do play. Lance Stephenson is one example.
