KYC isn't mandatory on registration, the only personal information they require is your date of birth. The KYC part will depend on your gambling activity like having big deposits and withdrawals(above $2,000) or breaking the T&C.

I feel the 2K part isn't accurate , personally I verified my account long time ago but I have 2 friends who didn't verify their accounts and they are using the site with more money without doing KYC
I'm sure it doesn't just depend on the money while it's a good factor of course , but sometimes they may suspect that certain accounts are multi accounting for promotions and since sometimes the promotions are crazy good ( like the watford roulette promo ) , KYC becomes necessary in case they suspected cheating even if the account holder has less than 100$ in his balance
