The three steps are incorrectly in orders. In my opinion, Follow rules step should be the first or the second one, not the third one. If I was you, I would suggest those steps:
(1) Read rules, pinned topics (you can find most important things with pinned topics - do this before moving further), and good guides.
Read before posting, search before posting
(2) Obey (follow) rules before making your posts.

(3) Only post when you have to make posts, and you should put your decent posts whenever you make it; try to avoid shitposts.
What are shitposts?
They are mentioned indirectly in rules (unofficial) of the forumm.
- Off-topic
- Nonsene
- One-lined
- Copying & pasting, without sources (plagiarism is unavoidable, consequently).
- English-broken.
