Ok guys, I know I said we would change the max amount back to the original plan of 50B, but after discussing it with some of you guys I definitely think the correct thing to do is to leave things as they are now.

The total supply will remain how it is because we are honouring the original distribution model first posted in the ANN. We realise many miners mine coins early to take advantage of high block rewards, so we do not want to re-inflate these block rewards now the coin is gaining popularity as we feel this is unfair to those that chose to mine GrumpyCoin under initial distribution conditions. Furthermore, as well as being unfair, changing block reward can cause issue with forks.

Now that Max amount will be 20B and we have accomplished most of the bounties, I've decide to giveaway what remains of initial 0.24% premine in a Massive giveaway:
Basically the dynamic consists in this: everyone that puts their address in before end of feb gets equal % of the premine:

I can see one big problem related to your solution = 20 BILLION limit instead of 50 BILLION that was stated in the beggining of this coin.

Who is gonna mine GRUMPY when the reward goes down to few GRUMPs per block?

My solutions guaranteed steady life of the coin for the next 10-20 years with no harm to coin's price. Because what will really be the difference in GRUMP's price if there is 20 BILLION now and 50 BILLION in 10 or 20 years? It is only 3 or 1.5 billion more coins every year. Such amount will not drive the price down but will allow this coin to live. If there is nobody to mine - GRUMP will die. Or am I missing something?

The official total coins were 50 BILLION and it should stay like this. Only the distribution should change.

I must say that I totally agree with you. This is how it's supposed to be done.
